The Trade Hotel – A Logistics Challenge

AW2 Logistics served as the Warehouse and Installation provider for all the furniture and operating supplies for this new boutique hotel property. The name, The Trade, comes from the many trades groups that made Milwaukee a thriving city.

We consolidated several thousand different items in our warehouse and logistically planned with the General Contractor for how those products would be delivered, moved distributed their final location, and fully installed. 

There were many difficult challenges that AW2 was tasked to deal with; including the day-to-day interactions with other trades in confined spaces, supply chain challenges, and specialized millwork re-work along with our wonderful Wisconsin weather also added to the fun!  

At the end of the day, it was the veteran staff at AW2 Hospitality that provided the added value to complete the project in the face of these very challenging logistics issues. They are very few logistics companies in the country who could have handled this project in the disciplined and professional manner that was implemented throughout the entire process.  

Nevertheless, AW2 embraced the reality of the logistical challenges and completed the project in time for their Grand Opening on Thursday, May 18th, 2023.
